Activities in 2023
We identify key activities that outlined our work path:

Global meeting

Virtual and open meetings to all members of the community. They had the aim of promoting deep and open conversations about the realities, the challenges and the possibilities that surround school leadership. The records of the debates will contribute to the UNESCO GEM Report 2024/5 about school leadership.

Resources about school leadership

From the global meetings and the prioritised topics, lessons and reflections were compiled to develop thematic reports that allow to identify good practices and insights about school leadership,  providing leaders with global resources based on evidence.

For each meeting, together with the GEM Report Team (UNESCO), we prepared thematic notes that enable to provide a context, as well as developing questions that would open up consultative spaces. In the reports of each session conversations and findings of each work room, along with the insights from the guest experts that enriched the topic.

“What I've found most enjoyable is the chance to learn from experienced school leaders in different settings. It's been empowering to see that we face similar challenges but approach them with unique creativity.

What's particularly remarkable is the network I've built, making it easy to seek and offer support with just a click.  This experience has also sparked my interest in research areas that could benefit all school leaders.”
